At dawn,
The darkness swallows me whole,
I seem to have lost my way home,
I need a minute alone.
Don’t leave for too long,
I’ll start thinking secrets that aren’t true,
What can I do to pursue you?
I don’t roll on my side when you’re aloof.
What is happiness?
Does anyone really feel it?
Does it feel better to say it,
I put all my eggs in one basket
For you.
What is sadness?
Does anyone have a grasp on it?
Does it feel better to lay in it,
Things between us were rocky,
Before they could’ve been smooth.
My limits,
Locked inside me like a key,
Fabricated like my dreams,
Life is as fragile as it seems,
Keep it keen.
Alone,
My heart may not be pure glass,
I’m trying to make amends for the past,
Some good things in this life won’t last,
I’ve got to laugh.
What is a heartbeat?
What if I don’t feel my own pound?
Does it make a sound?
It’s been so loud.
What’s life without me?
Is it engraved, or fun?
Do you wish for one more memory,
Or are you numb?
